چکیده

A detailed analysis of the power demand an ultraefficient lightweight-battery electric vehicle is performed. The aim to overcome problem lightweight vehicles that may have a relatively bad environmental impact if their not extremely reduced. In particular, higher during production phase, which should be balanced by lower service life means design. As example vehicle, prototype for Shell Eco-marathon competition considered. “tank-to-wheel” multiphysics model (thermo-electro-mechanical) was developed in “Matlab-Simscape”. includes battery, DC motors, motor controller and drag forces. preliminary validation performed considering experimental data acquisitions completed 2019 European at Brooklands Circuit (UK). Numerical simulations are employed assess sharing energy consumption among main dissipation sources. From analysis, we found sources mechanical (i.e., rolling resistance, gravitational/inertial force aerodynamic drag) same role defining such kind vehicles. Moreover, effect parameters mass, coefficient tire resistance coefficient) on analyzed through sensitivity analysis. Results showed linear correlation between variation demand, with mass exhibiting highest influence. results this study provide fundamental information address critical decisions designing new more efficient vehicles, as they allow designer clearly identify keep under control design phase most promising areas action.

Piccolo: An Ultra-Lightweight Blockcipher

We propose a new 64-bit blockcipher Piccolo supporting 80 and 128-bit keys. Adopting several novel design and implementation techniques, Piccolo achieves both high security and notably compact implementation in hardware. We show that Piccolo offers a sufficient security level against known analyses including recent related-key differential attacks and meet-in-the-middle attacks. In our smallest...

An Infrastructure to Enable Lightweight Context-Awareness for Mobile Users

Mobile phones enable us to carry out a wider range of tasks every day, and as a result they have become more ubiquitous than ever. However, they are still more limited in terms of processing power and interaction capabilities than traditional computers, and the often distracting and time-constricted scenarios in which we use them do not help in alleviating these limitations. Context-awareness i...

PRESENT: An Ultra-Lightweight Block Cipher

With the establishment of the AES the need for new block ciphers has been greatly diminished; for almost all block cipher applications the AES is an excellent and preferred choice. However, despite recent implementation advances, the AES is not suitable for extremely constrained environments such as RFID tags and sensor networks. In this paper we describe an ultra-lightweight block cipher, pres...

An Ultra-lightweight RFID Distance Bounding Protocol

Security and privacy of RFID systems have become very important issues along with their increasing applications. Recently, Jeon and Yoon proposed a new ultra-lightweight RFID authentication protocol(RAPLT) using merge and separation operations. Since their protocol uses very lightweight bitwise operations: XOR, merge, and separation operations, it will be suitable for the applications using low...

Ultra-lightweight Deployable Space Structures

The ultra-lightweight construction of large, deployable space structures is a fundamental prerequisite for the realization of Solar Sail propulsion concepts. In addition to the functionality of the deployment technique and the development of control concepts, lightweight aspects and their technical implementation play a key role in future Solar Sail missions. A further development of the set-up...
